Welcome to READ THE ROOM, a series of readings by some of New York's leading writers. Our guest readers represent a broad cross-section of the literary world, featuring authors of published works from top magazines, newspapers, websites and books.
For this installment, we are celebrating the humble origins of Read the Room, which debuted in June 2021!!
We are thrilled to invite you to experience an evening featuring our very first line-up of readers, sharing their short pieces on “Pandemic”… the very first stories told within the hallowed halls of Chef’s Dinner Table!
Featuring:
Julie Besonen of the New York Times
Kathleen Collins, author of Study in Hysteria
Franco D’Alessandro, author of Everything is Something Else: New And Selected Poems
Kathleen Squires of The Wall Street Journal
Andrea Strong of Bon Appetit
Hannah Walhout of Afar
Your host: Ronnie Rodriguez, Chef's Dinner Table
Not only are we serving up a buffet of contemporary literature and signed books for sale, but as food-lovers, we are also sharing delicious food, wine, beer, soft drinks and desserts from local purveyors.
It’s also an opportunity to welcome your favorite readers from the past 5 years, many of whom will be in-house to help us celebrate!
So, come on down to Little Italy and get your culture on while wishing us a very happy 5th birthday!
