Chef's Dinner Series Presents... Mariana Lopera Castilla
July 1 2023 | 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM132 Mulberry Street, No. 502, New York, NY 10013
This dinner event is one of a series featuring up-and-coming chefs in the New York City area who offer innovative approaches to multi-course dining experiences. The venue is a special place, too; Chef's Dinner Table is a private culinary salon tucked away in a downtown NYC loft offering the ultimate experience in luxury private dining.
Please consider joining us for this special evening of fine dining and intimate conversation featuring a curated 4-course tasting menu focusing on the cuisine of Colombia, professionally paired with exquisite wines. The evening will begin with passed canapes and end with the traditional digestivo of Aguardiente. The ubiquitous Colombian coffee will be paired with pastries in our lounge area, accompanied by a musical playlist designed by the chef.
Note: all food, drink and gratuities are included with your ticket purchase, so you don't need to worry about settling a bill at the end of the night.

ABOUT THE CHEF
Mariana Lopera Castilla is a Colombian-born chef who has spent the past decade traveling the world’s finest kitchens to develop her own truly unique multi-cultural cuisine. After years of working in kitchens throughout Colombia and then training in a Michelin-starred restaurant in Barcelona, Mariana returned to Medellín where she started working in a World’s 50 Best kitchen before opening new restaurants back in her home city. Mariana has a deep connection to her Colombian culture and is proud to be one of the few New York City chefs representing it through a modern lens. In addition to displaying some of Colombia’s more well-known items on her menu for the evening, such as empanadas and arepas, she is also incorporating other dishes such as arroz con titoté, tamales de hongos and dulce de tomato de arbol, which she learned from her grandmother (who learned from her grandmother and so on). After years of ideation, Mariana has found a beautiful, organic way to seamlessly present her culture with a fine dining spin.
